Children need an early
childhood program that will come alongside the parent to encourage the
child to grow and develop to their fullest potential. Each stage of
growth and development is important. At the ark we strive to do just
that by providing each child with love, acceptance, and understanding
all within a safe Christian environment.
In order to provide your children with these elements, our staff,
facility and curriculum meet exceptional professional standards. Our
program was designed with the guidelines outlined by the NAEYC (The
National Education for the Education of Young Children). Our staff is
trained both on -site and off-site each year by attending a minimum of
fifteen clock hours in early childhood training. Our low ratios average
6 to 1 in each classroom, which allows for more individualized love,
attention, learning, and overall safety for your child. Equipment and
instructional materials are chosen for developmental and safety
purposes. Each class's daily schedule is a well-planned thought out
schedule that best fits the needs of the individual classrooms. A
typical day for every classroom will consist of the following
components: opening activities, exploration time, large group time,
small group time, circle time, outside play, center time, snack time,
lunch time, chapel time (Tuesday and Wednesday), physical education -
music - Spanish (two of these each day), and closure activities.
We know research indicates that the early years are an optimal time
where the foundation for learning is established. Because of this, we
strive at the ark to provide an enriched, fun, hands-on curriculum that
is developmentally appropriate that will build a “love of learning” foundation within your child. |
